What is the value of the Scholarship?
University and College fees are paid by the Rhodes Trust. In addition a Scholar receives a monthly maintenance stipend to cover accommodation and living costs. The stipend is currently set at £958 pcm.
My date of birth puts me just outside the age limit requirement. May I still apply?
No. The age limit requirements, as set in the selecting country, are absolute.
I am not a citizen of any of the selecting countries. May I still apply?
No. The Scholarship is open only to nationals of those countries specified here.
The course I would like to study is not offered by Oxford University. May I study at another university?
No. The Scholarship is for study only at the University of Oxford.
Could my spouse/partner accompany me?
Yes. However, the stipend is intended to support a Rhodes Scholar. No additional allowance is made for partners.
Does the Trust offer additional support for research?
No. The Trust pays University and college fees, and monthly maintenance stipend only.
May I defer the sholarship if awarded?
No. Deferrals are not permitted.
