Rhodes into the future: the second century of Scholarships
The Rhodes Scholarships reflect one of the most visionary acts of philanthropy in history.
Cecil Rhodes' pioneering investment in the education of exceptional young people has nurtured successive generations of leaders whose achievements and contributions to the social good have changed the world.
The Trust welcomes the participation and philanthropic support of all who value this extraordinary enterprise and the opportunities it provides for individuals and the communities they serve.
Ways to give
There are many ways for you to support the Rhodes Scholarships:
- Annual gifts in support of the Scholarships
Your annual contribution will strengthen the opportunities for current and future Scholars during their time at Oxford.
.
Individuals may join a distinguished group of benefactors in underwriting the annual cost of a Rhodes Scholarship, currently averaging 28,000 UK pounds.
Capital gifts to augment the endowment are the best way to ensure your perpetual support for the Scholarships. Certain gifts may be
targeted to specific purposes, as appropriate.
In some instances, companies will match the charitable gifts of their employees. Please contact us for advice on speaking to your employer
about this possibility.
We encourage all supporters of the Rhodes Scholarships to consider including the Scholarships in your will. Your bequest to the Trust
will secure your own legacy through the gift of an Oxford education to worthy young Scholars.
The Rhodes Trust welcomes your in-kind gifts, including stocks and shares, property and other valuables, works of art, or historic documents. Please contact us for further information.
A gift in support of the Rhodes Scholarships is a gift to Oxford Thinking: the Campaign for the University of Oxford.
A gift to the Trust is a gift to Oxford; not just in terms of the highly qualified students it will bring to the University and the resources that will be devoted to their education there, but also because a contribution to the Trust will officially be considered a contribution also to the "Oxford Thinking: Campaign for the University of Oxford" and will count toward the achievement of the University's own fundraising goal. In other words, your gift does double duty.

Tax-efficient giving and logistics
